THE SALONS

Visiting these salons, one is immersed in the history of the castle of Collegno, attested by the 19th century mobilier, the numerous emblems and the portraits of members of the family who resided in the castle. Inside these rooms, one breathes the atmosphere of a centuries-old building while also experiencing the warmth of a family that still lives there.

THE EMBLEM ROOM

Vast salon distinguished by the presence of the emblems of all the families that were united in matrimony with the Provana di Collegno family, including the Guidobono Cavalchini.
At the very center of the room is a white marble chimney restored at the end of the 19th century. The wall paintings depict princes of the Savoy dynasty, the first count of Collegno from the Provana family with his wife, and a genealogical tree.

THE COLUMN ROOM

This semicircular room characterized by its four columns can be found in the elevated part of the castle. The wall paintings depict important members of the Provana di Collegno, such as the Count Alessandro and the Countess Daria, respectively on the left and right side of the columns. In the same room, on the central chimney, one also finds the emblem of the Provana family.

THE GREEN SALON

Small particularly suggestive room decorated with an authentic 19th century tapestry and several family paintings. Inside this room, one has the impression of being in a forest,
illuminated by the light of the moon, represented by the central chandelier.

THE MUSIC ROOM

The music room, like the emblem room and the green salon, faithfully reflects the Castle’s original drawings by Filippo Juvarra. In this room, appreciate the oil paintings above the 16th century doors and the painting of the Annunciation attributed to Gentileschi, which depicts the same subject as the painting exposed in the Sabauda Gallery in Turin.
